Died Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital

Bonita was born December 31, 1950 in Omaha, Ne. She was raised in Hooper by Gerald and Betty Strand. Bonita was baptized into the United Church of Christ on December 16, 1951. She attended grade school in Hooper and graduated high school from Logan View in 1969. During childhood she was a member of Job's Daughters and Girl Scouts. Following high school Bonita attended Midland Lutheran College, graduating with her nursing degree in 1987. She then furthered her education to achieve a master's degree in nursing from UNO in 1999. Bonita spent the majority of her working career at Fremont Hospital then finished her working years at Immanuel Fontenelle Home in Omaha, Ne. Bonita married Dennis Krohn on December 28, 1984 and they made their home on her family's farm south of Uehling.

Bonita is preceded in death by her husband Dennis Krohn and daughter Janel Case.

Daughter- Annie (Chad) Rinas of Arlington
Son- James M. Case II of Hooper
3 beloved grandchildren
Brothers - Jon Strand of Uehling
Jerry Strand of Hooper


Visitation with the family present will be Thursday, May 23, 2024 at the Ludvigsen Hooper Funeral Chapel from 4-7 P.M. A Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard Ceremony will be presented at 6pm. The family will have a private burial in the Swaburg Baptist Cemetery.
