Matthew B. 'Matt' Jurgenson, age 45, of Fremont
Died Sunday, May 12, 2024 at Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Matt was born June 29, 1978 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Gary and Julie 'Smith' Jurgenson. Matt graduated from Fremont High School in 1997 and Midland University in 2001. After graduation, he worked as a pharmacy tech for Miller Pharmacy for many years. Matt was a member of the Fremont Golf Club. He loved to play golf and he also loved his rescue dogs, Tripp and Beau.

Sister - Amanda (Nate) Thomas of Waterloo
Niece and Nephew - Addie and Sam Thomas
Aunts, uncles and cousins

Matt was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont on Friday, May 31, 2024 from 2pm to 4pm. Private burial will take place next to his parents in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to FurEver Homes in Fremont or to Steadfast Bible Fellowship Church in Omaha. The church is starting a new program in the fall for those people struggling with addiction.

He would keep in touch with us via e-mail & we hadn't heard from him in a while & were wondering if things were ok??!! Now we know. Matt was such a neat young man & we have soooo many good memories of him!!     Whether he was Matt, Matty, Jurgy, Jurgs, or Spice to you, he was a great friend to all of us. He never spoke ill of anyone and was always there when you needed him. It hurt so bad to see him struggle the last few years and life will definitely be different without him. "You can't pass a truck with flames on it" A great man lost, and I miss him already!
