Scribner, NE Thursday, September 14, 2023 To the Dames families, I am so sorry for your loss. Roger was always so helpful in the Co-op lumber yard and with paint as I struggled to get the right thing. His woodworking was special. He was very kind and compassionate to work with. I believe Wayne worked for us one summer in the vegetables. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.In sympathy and love, Janis Poppe

Glendale, AZ Tuesday, September 12, 2023 My thoughts and prayers are with the family. While I did not know Mr Dames personally I was so lucky to hear wonderful stories from April about her dad, his brothers and the family farm, as well as what an amazing father and grandfather he was. May those fond memories provide comfort to help you through this difficult time.Nancy (Kelberlau) Kean

Alameda, CA Monday, September 11, 2023 My deepest sympathy to the Dames family. Roger was a good friend through high school. My best friend through four years at Wayne State as we were roommates. We enjoyed many sporting events, concerts, road trips, and of course parties. We had classes together and helped each other get through it. We graduated together. Unfortunately the military and then work took me away from Scribner. When I got the opportunity to come back and visit, Roger would one of the first I would hook up with. Usually meeting at our old hang out Mel’s Bar. As my family grew the obligations have kept me away for too long. I regret not seeing him for so long and having our talks. RIP my friend. Save me a beer in heaven. We will meet again.Wayne Stuehmer
