Died Monday, September 11, 2023
Donald was born to Maurice and Lucille Vervaecke in Omaha. He was raised in the Benson area, graduated from Benson High with Honors and attended the University of Nebraska in Omaha, graduating with a degree in business. Retired Major in the Army National Guard. He spent 50 years as a successful Omaha Business Man before retiring with his wife, Marlee, to Marco Island, Florida where they enjoyed 20 years of sunshine, traveling, and his favorite sport, fishing.
Don was a pilot for many years, and there was nothing he loved more than climbing into his Cessna 206, and gliding through the sky. Traveling was another favorite of his, he was able to visit all 50 states and over 25 countries. He loved everything about nature and was much happier outdoors than in.
Don is survived by his wife of 49 years, Marlee, beloved children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In abiding with Don's wish, there will be no services. Online guestbook at www.Ludvigsenmortuary.com
