Sandra S. 'Sandy' Johnson, age 81, of Fremont
Died Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.

Sandy was born April 1, 1944 to Leo J. and Goldie G. (Templin) Peters at Lutheran Hospital in Norfolk, Nebraska. Leo was serving overseas with the U.S. Army and Goldie was employed by Dr. E.E. Curtis in Neligh, Nebraska at the time of Sandy's birth.

Sandy graduated from Fremont High School in 1962. Sandy was employed in the bookkeeping/proof area at Fremont National Bank, retiring in October of 2007 after having completed nearly 45 years of dedicated service.

Sandy was united in marriage to Gerald E. 'Jerry' Johnson on September 12, 1981 at Elim Lutheran Church, rural Hooper, Nebraska.

Sandy is survived by her husband Jerry, sons: Dustin Menking of Nickerson and Andrew Johnson of Lincoln. She is also survived by grandsons Aaron Ryales of Bonita, California and William (Meg) Menking of Scribner. Granddaughters Kenna and Emma Johnson of Fremont; Mia Nelson and Amelia Johnson of Lincoln; great granddaughter Jailee Ryales of Bonita, California, brother Jon (Janice) Peters of Millard, nieces, nephews and families.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, uncle Bruce Peters, in-laws Emery and Mary Johnson.

A Celebration of Sandy's Life will be held Sunday, June 7th from 1pm to 5pm at Milady Coffeehouse, 105 E. Sixth St. in Fremont. Online guestbook at www.Ludvigsenmortuary.com

    Oh Sandy.....you and I go back a LONG WAYS....from babysitting Dusty when he was so little, becoming my first boss at the bank, attending the same church - and then our boys getting to know each other and attending Sunday School together.
