Frances Effie Corke was born October 13, 1930 to Ray G. and Rena (Breeden) Corke on the family farm near Studley, KS. Frances was raised on the family farm and attended the BeeHive and graduated from SCHS in Hoxie, KS in 1948. Faith was very important to her starting at a young age at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
She went on to graduate from Fort Hays State College. She taught for 9 years and then worked at the First Baptist Church of Dodge City, KS as a secretary and bookkeeper. She then moved to Pratt, KS and worked for the Kanas Department of Transportation. After retiring she kept busy traveling with her good friend Naomi and volunteering. She enjoyed delivering Friendship Meals. Frances also enjoyed Buddy her dog.
She is survived by her sisters Lois Kaiser, Hartford S.D. and Paula (Gale) Koogler of FL. Along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents, sisters-Vera Fern, Verna And Kathryn (Norm) Morgan, brothers-Kenneth (Dolores), Perry (Betty),Robert Grant, Brother-in law David Kaiser, nephew Clarence Corke and great niece Katie Whitney.
There will not be a local service.
