Marilyn K. Kohl, age 80, died Sunday, September 29, 2024 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont.

Marilyn was born October 20, 1943 in Arlington to Arthur and Norma (Dunklau) Wittmann. She married Richard Kohl on September 15, 1963 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington. Marilyn was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. Marilyn loved family, camping with Dick, working in her flower beds and enjoying the outdoors. They traveled and attended all family events. She was an amazing mother, grandma and great grandma! The matriarch of the Kohl family was the glue of our family and will be greatly missed. She was surrounded by love until the very end. We know she is in heaven and joined by family until we meet again.

Survivors: children: Jeffery (Karen) Kohl of Omaha, Linda (Kenneth) Husted of Lincoln, Daniel (Beth) Kohl of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren: Rhianon, Jessica, Shelby, Noah Kohl; Ross Husted and Hannah (Andrew) Seuferer; Bryce, Emily and David Kohl, Elyse (Erik) Bower; four great grandchildren: Jasper, Henry and Eloise Seuferer; Nora Bower; brother Dennis Wittmann of Kearney, brother-in-law Dana Udey of Columbus.

Marilyn is preceded in death by husband Richard, her parents, sister Joyce, sister-in-law Joan.

Per Marilyn's wishes there will be no public services and burial will be at a later date in Memorial Cemetery.

To the family of Marilyn Kohl:
I’m very sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I have nothing but great memories of your mom and your dad. I think I was in the fourth grade when we moved next door, and I’ve been out of school now about 50 years! So they were both a part of my growing up. Now both of our parents are gone! Once again, my sympathy to all of your families. Todd
