After returning from military duty, he began hauling milk in 1952, when it was still hauled in milk cans. He operated one of the first bulk milk trucks in 1955. In 1966, he and a partner purchased a milk route, and in 1972 he became sole owner and CEO. He retired in the mid 1990's. Berkely had also raised sheep.
On Feb. 6, 1953, Berkely was married to Marian Stuenkel, and she passed away in Sept. of 1993. Then on October 14, 1995, Berkely married Grace Shumake .
Berkely was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (north of Arlington). He was also a member of American Legion Post 71 and a member of , and Past Commander of VFW Post 8332, both of Arlington. He was a longtime member of the Mid-States Milk Carriers Association. Berkely played in the Elkhorn Valley Jammers band with his brother Lyle, and friends, entertaining at local care centers and senior's events.

The funeral service will be 1 PM Saturday (Feb. 9th) in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Arlington, with the Rev. Rick Kanoy officiating. The committal will follow in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery (east of Winslow) with military honors by American Legion Post 71 and VFW Post 8332. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont will be today (Friday, Feb. 8th) from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 PM. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday for an hour before the service. Memorials, in memory of Berkely L. Wolf , are suggested the St. Paul Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, VFW Post 8332, and the Arlington Fire & Rescue.
