I was so saddened to hear of Vorda's passing. She was a great friend of our mother, Viola Scoles, and a shining light in our small town. I can just see them trying to form a rubber for bridge now that they're back together again!

Kathy - I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. You were so sweet to call when we lost our Andy. Your mom was such a neat lady. I think you, Cindy and I drove her crazy sometimes with our antics. Take some deep breaths and remember the tears are healing tears and just take it 1 day at a time.

We always had lots of fun with Vorda and Stan. We are sorry to hear of her death. Our sympathy to all of her family and friends. She was a great person, and will be missed.

Mrs. Westergard was my 6th grade teacher. She also taught my sister (Tracy) and my 2 cousins Nicole and Lonnie. She is fondly remembered by all of my family. She has even done substitute teaching for my son during his time at Mead. It is so wonderful to be able to sit and share our stories of her with each other. I am sure that there are alot of students who share the same love of her and her teaching at Mead. My cousin Nicole said it best she helped make us the women we are today. Thanks Mrs. Westergard, with much love and appreciation. Dawn Drews (Strong)

I first met Vorda thru a series of coincidence first reading about her mother at church realizing same last name as my maiden, Vorda was my fathers second cousin. Later, to find out she was friends with my mother-in- law. She was a very nice, joyful person. You have our prayers and sympathies.

Mrs. Westergard was my 6th grade teacher in Mead. She is probably the teacher I remember the most from my elementary school years. I always thought she was a gentle woman but everyone knew to get their work done. She has touched all of us in different ways that have made us who we are today. Our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time. God bless. Nicole Chmelka (Strong)

I first met Vorda when Amber and I were in Pharmacy school. I remember thinking how young this woman was, not with her age but with her spirit. I am truely sorry for your loss, and my family's prayers are with you as you celebrate such a wonderful life.

Mrs. Westergard was my teacher when I was in 2nd grade. I have left the area but when someone talks about thier favorite school teacher I speak about her. She was very kind and loving but still made us do our work and learn from it :) My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Just know that she has touched thousands of childrens heart and she does live through her good deeds. Tiya (Haga) Anderson
