I knew Wendy in high school and we had some great times together. She was a joy to be with and will be deeply missed. So many wonderful memories from school and from church group activities. She was a loving, kind woman and will be greatly missed. My condolences to the family in this time of grief.

Matt- I want you to know I have been praying for you and the family. I just sobbed when I heard the news. I know this lady was the love of your life. I have been envious of you since our college days when you would talk about her. I knew you were so happy. I don't know what to say other than how truly blessed you have been with her in your life but too short of time. I wish I could be at the funeral but cannot. I will be thinking of you and if you need anything, please do not be shy to ask. Take care friend. See you when I see ya!

Wendy was a great friend in high school and we shared a room at Pound Hall in her "early" days at UNL. Wendy and I shared many, many wonderful times over the years. She was a person of tremendous feeling and character - someone I personally remember with very great affection. I feel in shock at the news of her death. My thoughts are with Wendy's mother and her husband. Please know that Wendy is thought of with love and sorrow tonight.

Wendy was my Student Assistant on my dorm floor the first few years I was in college. Along with three or four other students we formed a tight bond that continued to today. (Primarily because we participated in her many crazy escapades with her.) Wendy was one of those people I would always know, I would always keep in touch with..and did. I can't believe she is gone but as a Buddhist I know I will meet her again in the next lifetime. I know that I was singularly blessed to have known her. Matt and family: She will be in my prayers always. (Peanuts forever!)

I was so sorry to hear about Wendy. She has always held a special place in my heart since our junior high days then off to college. Life was never dull when she was around and she made sure to include you in the fun. Please know you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Wendy made a positive difference in this world! She had the gift of "friendship" as she touched the lives of others in a quiet, friendly way. Her life exemplified true Christian kindness. Wendy was always helpful and sensitive to the needs of others. We will miss her! My thoughts and prayers are with family and friends during this time of sorrow. I look forward to the day when I can greet her again. How thankful I am for God's promises!
