  1. Larry Moeller
The Moeller farm (rented per John Mohr) was just east of the Hansen farm in the District #47 area. We knew Meta and Leo and their kids as our neighbors for years. We knew Gerald, Dennis and esp. Marianne through the one-room schoolhouse we attended in the country south of Scribner. We got two of our favorite dogs from the Hansens. In the party line days, Meta heard my Mother scream on the phone re: a fire, Meta called the Scribner Volunteer Fire Dept. who promptly rushed to our farm. Thanks, Meta. Meta and Leo were always kind and cheerful throughout their lives, and what a love story they wrote together. I just wanted to celebrate both Meta and Leo in this note. Larry Moeller parents: Bernell and Vivian siblings: Sandra, Lynn, Brian, Douglas

  3. Merva B. Hansen (de Jurado)
It was my good fortune to know Meta during my high school years when my father and I visited his home state of Nebraska. Her good heart and warm spirit seemed to be shared freely with those around her. I send condolences to all family members and friends from my home in Peru. May she rest in peace.

Gerry, Our deepest sympathy to you and your family. My Dad always enjoyed your parents visits. With 8 children in our family, no one ever stayed at our home overnight, but I remember your mom and dad coming and sleeping on the "honeymoon" couch. It was little, it was hard, you had to be in love. I think that's how the couch got it's name. It must have been before they had children as I don't remember you being with them. I also have fond memories of the Hansen reunions at Arnolds Park, Okoboji. Good times shared by all. I am so grateful our parents gave us such wonderful family memories. Shirley
