She was born August 6, 1927 in Ceresco, NE to Donald 'Curley' and Laura (nee Ptacek) Ellison. She grew up in the Wahoo area, where she received her elementary education. Later, she graduated from Fremont High School, and attended Midland College for 2 years.

On January 16, 1948, Donna Jean was married in Fremont to Vernon Lallman. They lived in Washington County for 6 years, then moved to a farm northwest of the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church area northwest of Fremont, and have lived there until the present time.

Donna was a member of the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church and its Naomi Circle. She had served on the election board for several years, and had cooked for the district 88 school for 6 years. She was a member of the Friday Ladies Club.

Preceding Donna in death was a son and his wife, Steve and Kathy, and a sister Betty Reese.

The funeral service will be 2 PM Tuesday (Nov. 25, 2008) in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. J.O. Baumgartner officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church.

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont will be today (Monday-Nov. 24th) from 3 to 8 PM with the family present from 6:30 to 8 PM.
