Musanze, Rwanda, Africa, Tuesday, January 13, 2009 JaNelle had the special quality of making the world a better place by her presence, her humor, her wit and compassion. I am lucky to have known her in my brief passages through the middle school and always looked for her smiling face while she sat at her desk. She touched many lives in a deep and kind way, and we are all better for it. I am sadden to hear such painful news from back home, and will find a quiet place to shed my own tears of letting her go and saying goodbye to such a kind person. I remember her telling me to be careful in Africa the last time I passed through the middle school. She was consistent in her care for all. With deepest respect, Dean Jacobs Rwanda, AfricaAndrew M.Burbach
