Alma was born November 20, 1909 in Keyapaha County, near Norden, Nebraska. She grew up in Keyapaha and Brown counties, graduating from high school in Springview in 1923. She was married to Arthur Weander on May 26, 1928.

They were ranchers and sandhills farmers, living in Rock County, near Long Pine. In 1948, they moved into Long Pine where she was a cook and waitress. The couple moved to Hooper, Nebraska in 1992. Her husband Arthur, died in September of 1995, and in 2002, Alma moved to Fremont and to Shalimar Gardens.

She had been a member of the Full Life Assembly of God Church.

Alma was preceded in death, in addition to her husband Arthur, by a daughter Donna and son Kenneth, and several grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont, on Wednesday at 9:30am
with the Rev. Lee Weander officiating. The committal will be in Grandview Cemetery at Long Pine. Memorials are suggested to the Activities Fund of Shalimar Gardens.

Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, will be on Tuesday (May 5th) from 2 PM to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
