Evelyn was born June 8, 1914 on the farm near Beemer, Nebraska to Helmuth and Bertha (Reikofski) Schultz. She was baptized and confirmed in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of rural Beemer.

On January 20, 1935, Evelyn was married to Reinhold C.B. Toelle in the same Immanuel Lutheran Church. They farmed south of Beemer for a time, then moved to a farm south of Wisner. In 1977, the couple moved into Fremont. In Fremont, Evelyn did house cleaning and also some child care.

She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont and it's Tabitha Society. And she was active with the Good Shepherd Quilters.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband who died in October of 1991, and by a son Donald, and 3 brothers.

Survivors: 2 sons - Ardon and wife Joyce Toelle of Arlington
Howard and wife Dottie of Omaha
daughter-in-law - Bonnie Toelle of Omaha
8 grandchildren
24 great grandchildren
1 brother - Norman Schultz of Beemer

The funeral service will be 10 AM Saturday (May 30th) at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Fremont, with the Rev. Timothy Gierke officiating. The committal will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the American Diabetes Association.

Visitation is today (Friday - May 29th,) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, from 2 to 8 PM, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 PM.
