My apology Trish. I was speaking to you in my message but somehow your name got left off. Again my condolences to all.
  2. Rick Benjamin
I am so sorry to hear of Gary passing. Finding out just now by Tribune online, I am stunned. My thoughts & prayers go out to you and Gary's children. Suddenly so many memories come flooding in with both of you in your teens, our families, & when each of your own families began. I admired Gary & his undoubting love & care for his children. As soon as I thought about Gary "taking care of your baby up there" I saw them reach out & take each other's hand as they were walking. My prayer that kindness surrounds you during your time. Rick

Dear Abbie, Jared, and Family; I've known you all for so many years, growing up together through school and activities and such, and your dad was always such a warm-hearted guy to be around. I have so many fond memories over the years that I will always carry. Gary was always so welcoming of me in your home and made me feel like a part of your family. I know he is reunited with your mom and they are both looking down on their wonderful family always. My deepest sympathy and prayers to all of you.

Abbie and Jared, I am sorry that you had to lose another parent. You probably don't remember me, but your mom was my babysitter and then I became your babysitter a long time ago. You have been in my thoughts often. My heartfelt sympathy to you both.

I can say that every time you talked about Gary with me at work, that a "sister's love" and her unabiding ability to care was always right there, on top, easy to see. Your love for your brother was obvious. Cherish the memories. May you have peace and surprising strength every moment that you need it. May God Bless you and keep you. May His face shine upon you.
  10. Jared Benjamin
    I love you Dad.

Abby & Jared, So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. He worked with Gene's father at the gas company for alot of years, that is how our families got to know each other. Gene's dad suggested your mother to babysit for Christine and the rest is history. You and Christy have been friends along time. Gene's dad really liked your father alot it is strange but they both passed away on the same day. Gene's dad passed away on June 12, 18 years ago. I am sure they are sharing stories together again. I hope you two find comfort in your memories (hold them dear to your hearts) and in your family and friends. Take care and God Bless you and your families.
