Gary had been married to Toni Amen, deceased. Also preceding him in death are his grandparents, parents Sherwood and Dona Mae, brother Daniel, and a nephew John Patrick Nielsen.

2 grandchildren - Alyssa and Lexi
sister - Trish Nielsen, all living in Fremont
sister-in-law Joyce Benjamin, nephew Shawn and his family, niece Lora and her family, all of Hastings, NE
A memorial service will be held in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont, on Saturday, June 19th, at 1 PM. Casual dress (jeans) is suggested for those attending. The committal will be in Calvary Cemetery.

He worked with Gene's father at the gas company for alot of years, that is how our families got to know each other. Gene's dad suggested your mother to babysit for Christine and the rest is history. You and Christy have been friends along time. Gene's dad really liked your father alot it is strange but they both passed away on the same day. Gene's dad passed away on June 12, 18 years ago. Carol and I got to see Gary and Dave Rezac build his rigid shovelhead in a little shed on south broad. Spent many times working on bikes together at Jack Boysen's garage on 11th and C.
