Ina was born March 11, 1921 in West Point, Nebraska to Elmer and Julia 'Lorenzen' Benne. She attended District 21 School near Bancroft, NE. and graduated from West Point High School in 1938.

Ina and Willis Wegner were married on February 11, 1940. They had 50 years together. Ina and Willis had three sons: Gale, who was accidentally electrocuted after a car accident at the age of 18; Robert, who married Jane Von Seggern of Scribner, Nebraska and had two children, Laura and Mark; and Joel, who was married and divorced, had three daughters, Christy, Jennifer, and Jolene, and who spent 30 years with his soulmate, Dorothy Litz. Joel died of a heart attack at the age of 58 on April 3, 2010.

During the late 1940's and early 50's, Ina and Willis owned a large dairy farm just north of Scribner. In the late 50's and early 60's, Ina owned and operated Ina's Café in Scribner. She served as head cook for the Scribner Public Schools, and later, she owned and operated the restaurant and bar at the Scribner Hotel. Upon retirement in 1992, Ina moved to Fremont, where she enjoyed bowling and playing cards with her friends. On April 15, 1995 Ina married Marvin Odenreider of Fremont. They had seven years together.

Ina was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Julia; two husbands, Willis Wegner and Marvin Odenreider, and two sons, Gale and Joel. She is survived by son Robert and wife Jane, sister Betty Winther, grandchildren Laura Sherman and husband John, Mark Wegner and wife Amy, Christy Neel and fiancé Dave Lubker, Jolene Schulzkump and husband Doug, Jennifer Burdick, eleven great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to the Scribner Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments.

A memorial service will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Ludvigsen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

    Sorry to hear about Ina !! She was a great person and enjoyed eating her food when she was cooking !!! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time of sorrow. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
