Then on November 29, 1944, Frances was married to Allan Hansen in Portland, Oregon. The Hansen's then moved to Nehawka and Scotia in Nebraska where her main duty was taking care of their son Paul. Then they were called to Elk Horn, Iowa due to the death of Allan's father where their daughter Connie was born. They managed the family's care facility, Salem Lutheran Home, which was founded by Allan's father and is still in operation today. From there the Hansen's moved to Mapleton, Iowa and then to Lincoln, Nebraska where Frances worked for Miller & Paine Dept. Store. Their next stop was Holdrege, Nebraska where Frances worked for various businesses. Then Frances and Allan came to Fremont and Frances worked for Schweser's Dept. Store and Allan became the director of ESU No. 2.
