Lois was born to Raymond and Louise (Lage) Langemeier in Osmond, Nebraska on March 21, 1930. She was raised in the Wayne, Nebraska area on the farm. She was a graduate of Wayne High School.

She married Donald W. Nielsen, and they had 5 sons, and were later divorced. On November 19, 1977, Lois was married to Gary L. Loewe. They lived briefly in Arlington, then moved to Fremont.

Lois had worked for the Ford Café in Valley and Marion's Villa in Fremont. Then she worked for the Pendleton Woolen Mills in Fremont for several years before retiring in 1992. She had been very active in Pendleton's union and in the Democratic political party. Following her retirement, she and Gary had spent several winters in Texas where they made many new friends.

Kelly and wife Barb Nielsen of Denver, CO.
Steve Nielsen and fiancce Alice of Neosha, Wisc.
Lee Nielsen of San Diego, Calif.
step-daughter - Lynda Field and husband Tim of Pensacola, Florida

1 brother - Jack and wife Maryann Langemeier of Pea Ridge, Arkansas
niece - Jodi
nephew - Jay

She was preceded in death by her husband Gary in August of 2007, and by 2 siblings in infancy.

A memorial service will be 10 AM Saturday (July 31st, 2010) at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with the Rev. Timothy Gierke officiating. A graveside service will held at 2:30 PM Saturday in the Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to her church. There is no public visitation, however friends may sign the register book on Friday from 10 AM until 5 PM at the Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont.
