Rick was and still remains a constant pillar in the lives of many. A family man at heart and loved deeply; he could always be counted on when he was needed most. His steady presence brought comfort, joy, and a sense of calm to those around him. He carried himself with a quiet determination that wasn't loud, but was always admired.
A man who did things his own way. He had a subtle sense of humor that brought smiles to countless people. His observations of the world around him often brought perspective, laughter, or insight. These traits were subtle but genuine, and brought so much warmth to everyday moments.
He found joy in life's simple but meaningful things: time in nature, music, fishing, gardening, working with his hands, or simply sitting with his dog to close out a day. Whether he was fixing, tinkering, or building something new, he had an impressive way of figuring things out. That same steady, hands-on approach carried into his work in the irrigation industry, where his contributions consistently made a difference.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents and brothers. He is survived by his wife, sisters, his children; Eric, Emily, and Sam and his many grandchildren.
To honor Rick's wishes, the family will not be holding a public service. He will be deeply missed, but will continue to live on through his children, grandchildren, and the lasting impact he had on those fortunate enough to know him. The family invites you to please privately celebrate Rick's memory in your own ways.
