Byron was born June 23, 1953 in Fremont to Francis and Eunice 'Gerry' (Wehmeyer) Tank. He graduated from Trinity, Fremont High School and UNL. He lived most of his adult life in Lincoln.
He is survived by his father Francis.
Graveside services will be 2pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or School.
