Died Saturday, September 14, 2024 at home.
Daniel J. Chrisman was born in Fremont, NE to Warren and Phyllis Chrisman on December 6th, 1957. He graduated from Fremont High in 1976 and later attended Milford College for Electronics Engineering graduating with an associates degree.
Dan married his true love, Vicki (Dunn) Chrisman, on February 26th, 1981 and together they raised two sons. Dan worked at Duncan Aviation, Hammond & Stevens, and spent the last 15 years at Valmont Industries as an Electronics technician. Despite his dedication to his jobs, Dan was never without a hobby and always kept busy. He performed auto body repair out of his garage early in his marriage, remodeled a cabin and a bunk house for his sons, and had many other tech related hobbies.
For many years, he shared his love of fishing, campfires, and the outdoors with his closest brother Gordy, and his two sons at his cabin along the Elkhorn river. Dan also had a passion for model railroading, and loved to share this hobby with his grandchildren, even building them their own miniature train set, next to his own.
Dan and Vicki moved from Fremont to North Bend in the summer of 2000 and then later moved to Morse Bluff in 2019. Dan took great pride in owning and caring for each home in which he lived. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and mother and father in law. He is survived by his wife, Vicki Chrisman, sons Weston Chrisman (Amy) of Elkhorn and Jarad Chrisman (Kate) of Cedar Bluffs and grandchildren, Warren and Maddie. As well as, his sister Kathy Chrisman and brothers Dave and Lyle Chrisman.
There is no viewing but the family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 18th from 5-7pm at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel. The memoral service will be Thursday, September 19th at 10:30 am, also at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
