Carol Ann Haase, age 82, of Fremont Nebraska, passed away March 23rd, 2024, with her husband by her side at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont after a brave fight with cancer.

Carol was born July 24th, 1941, in Morse Bluff Nebraska, to George and Sylvia 'Hanis' Kaplan. She was raised in Morse Bluff and graduated from North Bend High School. On July 2nd, 1960, she married Doug Haase. After living in San Diego CA, and Millard NE, they settled in Fremont and raised their family.

Each of us will remember Carol in our own personal way, whether it was trips with the Corvette club, winters in Yuma Arizona, or just getting together as friends. Maybe you were witness to Carol's competitive spirit playing golf, tennis or pickleball. Perhaps you met her at Church or one of her places of employment. You will remember Carol.

We will remember her as the best wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, or aunt we could have ever asked for. We will remember summers at the lake. We will remember every holiday. We will remember her as a bundle of energy that lit up the room with her smile. We will remember her as always welcoming and intentionally connecting with each of us. She was warm, she was fun, she was uniquely Carol. We all loved her and will remember her in our own special way.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers George Kaplan and David Kaplan.

Carol is survived by her husband Doug Haase, Children: Jim (Tonya) Haase, Barb (Scott) Feldhacker. Grandchildren: Caroline Haase, Austin (Whitney) Haase, Dillon Feldhacker, Wyatt (Maren) Feldhacker. Great Grandchildren: Anna, Jude, John, and Weston. Niece: Nicole (Dan) Dolan (Charli, Addison, George) and many dear friends.

Doug, Jim, and Barb: I am so deeply sorry to hear about Carol. She indeed made a person feel 'great' no matter what the situation. Haven't seen much of y'all in the past years, but that doesn't erase the memories of the fun times when we 'did' get together as friends. May God be with all of you. She was the best!!

    Doug and family,
So sorry to get a phone call about Carol's passing from Marlene Koglan. The words in the obituary about her' lighting up a room when she entered' is how I remember her. Also, the kindness you and Carol showed to my Mom, Mabel Haase Peters, of you stopping to visit her in Schuyler was much appreciated.
Thinking of you and your family in this difficult time.
    Your Cousin,
    Jody Peters Oeltjen
