Died Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont
Bill was born on March 7, 1939 in Ord, Nebraska to William and Jane 'Moul' Toben. He grew up on a small ranch west of Burwell, Nebraska. He graduated from Taylor High School in 1957 then worked in road construction driving cement and dump trucks around Nebraska.
Bill married Janette Clemens on September 6, 1964 at Bethany Free Methodist Church near Amelia, Nebraska. Bill and Janette finally made their home in Fremont in the summer of 1972. Bill fell in love with the open road and began a career as an owner/operator of his own truck in 1972, hauling freight coast to coast. He loved going to California and the Northwest.
Bill was a helper always lending a hand fixing a car and especially giving rides to anyone. He found his last community with some retired men at the First Baptist church in Fremont, having coffee at church and Saturday morning men's breakfast bible study.
