He graduated from Scribner High School in 1953 and on June 16, 1954 Glenn married his high school sweetheart, Marleen Mauch. Together they were blessed with 8 children.
Glenn is survived by his wife Marleen, his children: Peggy (David) Volpp. Donald Herbolsheimer. Debbie (Leonard) Schreck. Susan Lovelady. Paul (Ronda) Herbolsheimer. Steve Herbolsheimer (Linda). Judy Faketty. He is also survived by brother Gerald (Bonnie) Herbolsheimer, 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren along with two nephews and many cousins and extended family.
Glenn was greeted in heaven by his infant son James John. He was also preceded in death by his parents, infant sister Dorothy, stepmother Frieda, and mother-in-law Leona Mahrt along with many of his close friends.
''Herby'' was born a son and left this world as a great grandfather. In between he wore many hats. Some include fire fighter, saddle club member, bus driver (Big Blue), scout leader and lifeguard/swim instructor. Herby was most known for being a car salesman and someone who never met a stranger. Herby enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, card playing and being around family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1st at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel with the family present from 4pm-7pm. If you've bought a car from Herby, in his honor, please join the family and take a main with us following visitation.
Funeral services are scheduled at St Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner on Thursday, November 2nd at 2pm with viewing at the Church one hour prior to service. Burial to follow at the Scribner Cemetery.
Family suggests memorials be directed to the Scribner Volunteer Fire Department.

DeForest, WI Wednesday, November 1, 2023 My deepest sympathy to the Herbolsheimer family. As a young man I purchased my first car from Glenn when he was employed as a salesperson at Grant Chevrolet. My brother and dad also purchased several cars too. Grant Chevrolet would give the showroom floor a new coat of paint, move in the new model, and service coffee and donuts. Glenn will be missed, Loren.David Vesely
Tampa, FL Tuesday, October 31, 2023 Glen was a very outgoing person whom most of Scribner knew well and our class at Scribner especially since his brother Jerry was in our class. He will definitely be missed by family and friends.
