Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loved ones, Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Nebraska Medicine
Dana was born March 29, 1960 in Logan, West Virginia to Willard and Lydia 'McGuire' Privett. The family moved to Fremont in the early 60's. Dana graduated from Fremont High School in 1978. He worked at Valmont before joining the Steamfitters Local Union #464 and spent most of his years working at Mainelli Mechanical, retiring in 2016. He married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Debbie Hoffman on September 9, 1978.
Dana's greatest joys in life were his family & fur baby Lakota. He loved fishing & hunting, Husker football, spending time at his family campground ''Privett Hollar'', and watching his grandbabies play the sports they love! He made a huge impact on so many during his 10+ years coaching his daughters softball teams. Dana is so loved not only by his family but by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Dana lives on in the hearts of so many.
