Leonard was born on May 24, 1941 in Fremont to Marvin and Frieda 'Timme' Geisler. He grew up on the farm place east of Winslow and attended Hooper High School. He married Barbara Schultz on October 6, 1963. They resided in Hooper where they raised their 3 children, Richard, Jill and Lori.
Leonard was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper. He was a member of the Hooper Volunteer Fire Department for over 40 years. He enjoyed meeting the gang at the local gas station or local bar for coffee and cards. He was a member of the Dodge County Civil Defense unit. In his early years Leonard enjoyed bowling and was on a league for 20 years. Leonard also enjoyed fishing with close friends.

Son - Richard (Brenda) Geisler of Fremont

Sisters-in-law - Judy Geisler of Hooper

Brother-in-law - Thomas (Piedades) Schultz of Houston, TX.

Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, parents, in-laws Garlan and Dorothy Schultz, step-mother-in-law Marian Schultz, brother Ralph and sister-in-law Anita and brother Vernon.
The memorial service is 2pm, Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hooper. The Rev. Casey Lieneman will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hooper Cemetery. A light reception and time to greet family will follow the burial. Memorials are suggested to the Hooper Volunteer Fire and Rescue Departments. Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
