Died unexpectedly, Tuesday, July 13th, 2021 at Methodist Fremont Health.
Jill was born March 20th, 1954 in West Point, NE., to Leroy (Jack) and Deloris (Dee) 'Meyer' Delmont. She was raised mostly in the Atlantic Iowa area, where she graduated from Atlantic High School in 1972. After high school she went on to receive her Associate's Degree in Nursing, obtaining her LPN at Iowa Western Community College. She loved being a nurse, and taking care of people and was excellent at it. She worked in many different departments throughout her 40 plus year career, either at the nursing home or hospital in Atlantic, IA. Jill was a long time Walnut, IA. resident where she raised her family. Jill retired from nursing in 2016 and has spent the remaining years in Fremont enjoying time with her family and especially her grandson, who was the light of her eye.
Jill loved spending time with family and friends. She was an avid Big Brother Fan, she enjoyed all things Nebraska Cornhuskers, and recently Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. She loved to travel and go on bus trips to see the country. And most of all she was an amazing mother that put her family needs in front of everything else.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Atlantic IA.
