Deloris was born March 6, 1924 in Orchard, Nebraska to Leonard and Edna 'Morlan' Walton. She was raised in Orchard where she graduated high school. She married Roland F. 'Mac' McDermott on February 19, 1949 in Valley. The couple lived in Norfolk and Lyons before eventually settling in Fremont. For 16 years, Deloris worked at Pendleton Woolen Mills. After her retirement Deloris enjoyed bowling and camping. She loved to bake cookies, which she did frequently for the Telephone Pioneers of America Club and Trinity Youth Bake sales.
Deloris was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America Club in Fremont.

Son Robert (Lorna) McDermott of Omaha
Daughter-in-law Susie McDermott of Fremont
5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren

Deloris was preceded in death by her husband Mac in 1986, son Jim in 2006 and 3 brothers Delaine, Wilford and Gordon Walton.
The funeral will be 2pm Tuesday, January 15 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont with the Rev. Dan Heuer officiating, burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery. Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont will be Monday from 3pm to 7pm with the family present from 5-7pm. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Youth or the Fremont Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
