Died Tuesday, January 08, 2019 at Parkview Home in Dodge.
Karilyn was born November 1, 1935 in Fremont to Oltman and Wilma 'Hasemann' Hilbers. She was baptized March 1, 1936 and confirmed on November 6, 1949. She was raised on a farm west of Uehling and graduated from Scribner High School in 1953. After high school she attended Wayne State Teachers College and obtained her teaching certificate. She taught at District #29 for a few years. She married Donald Alberts on June 24, 1956 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Hooper. After their marriage the couple moved to a farm east of Snyder where they lived until moving into Scribner.
Karilyn had been an organist at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Snyder. She was a member at St. Peter's until it closed and the couple transferred their membership to Grace Lutheran Church in West Point, where they currently are members. Karilyn enjoyed doing ceramics, painting and loved to bake bread and rolls.

Karilyn was preceded in death by her parents and brother Wayne.
The funeral will be Saturday, 10am at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point. The Rev. Priscilla Hukki will officiate. Lunch will follow the service with the burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Snyder following the lunch. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the family present from 5pm to 7pm at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to the Parkview Home Activity Fund.
