Eulella was born to Albert and Marie (Hansen) Schjodt on April 7, 1922 in Blair, Nebraska. She grew up on the farm near Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1938. She attended Dana College in Blair for 2 years, then taught at the Neff School for 2 years.
She worked at the Martin Bomber Plant in Omaha during the early 1940's and worked on the B-29 Bomber that was known as the Enola Gay.
On January 16, 1943, Eulella was married in Blair to Hubert T. 'Pete' Petersen. As he was serving in the US Army Air Corps at the time, they lived in San Antonio, Texas while he completed his tour of duty. They came to Fremont in 1945. Pete worked as an auto body repairman and in 1959 he opened Petersen Body Shop, and Eulella was the bookkeeper for their business. They sold the business and retired in 1992.
Eulella was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and it's Hope Circle, and she was a Sunday School teacher. She also belonged to the Home and Harmony Extension Club.

11 grandchildren Chris (Jaimie) Petersen, Mike Petersen, Tyler Petersen,
Tracy (Shawn) Gillespie, Jaimee (Bret) Martin, Jennifer (Edd) Baye,
Jeff (Kirsten) Hennings, Jeremy (Jill) Francis, Tim (Amber) Francis,
Katie (Oscar) Duran, and Trevor Petersen.
14 great grandchildren
Eulella was preceded by her husband Hubert 'Pete'on March 17, 2014, and a brother Harald Schjodt, and sisters Veola Hansen, Rose DeLaCastro, Carol Hundtofte, and infant sister Margaret.
The funeral service will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at Peace Lutheran Church (east of the bypass at US Highway 30 and County Road 26 2102 N. County Road 26). Visitation will be 2 to 8 PM Monday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont, with the family present from 6 to 8 PM. The committal will be in the Blair Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Peace Lutheran Church.
