Rita Louise Kuhlman of Hooper, NE. was born on September 1, 1929 on a farm near Dead Timber State Park to Nick and Clara Schreck, the eighth of nine brothers and sisters. She grew up during the great depression in deep poverty, but learned what it meant to be truly rich and carried her love of family throughout her life. She married Dwight G. Kuhlman on August 6, 1947 and raised two sons. Rita passed from this life on march 25, 2009, at seventy nine years of age. She was preceded in death by seven of her brothers and sisters, and her husband of thirty-nine years. She is survived by one brother, Herb Schreck of West Point, her two sons, Ronald and his wife Lindy Kuhlman of Hooper and Mark and his wife Ruth of Bremerton, WA., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, as well as a large network of extended family.

Rita was a dedicated member of the English congregation of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Fremont and was a faithful witness for most of her life. Beloved by many in the communities of Hooper, Scribner, and Fremont she will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.

The memorial service will be 11:00A.M. Saturday March 28, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Fremont (2530 Old Highway 8). Burial will be at a later date in Manhattan Cemetery near Dead Timber.

I was so sorry to hear about your Mom. I always thought she was the neatest lady. I can remember when our parents got together and we would play. It was always such a good time. Remember sliding down the hay bales in your barn??? Always remember the wonderful memories that she gave you. Our deepest sympathy to you and your families. Nolan and Connie
