Wilma Moeller

Wilma was born January 3, 1917 in Snyder, NE. to Wilhelm and Anna 'Werblow' Sasse. She was baptized Feb. 19, 1917 and confirmed May 24, 1931 in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Snyder. Wilma attended parochial and public schools in Snyder, graduating as the valedictorian of her class in 1935.
ON Sept. 11, 1935 Wilma was married in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Snyder to Eugene Moeller, who was from Hooper. They lived most of their married years in the rural Hooper area. Eugene died March 7, 1970.
Wilma had worked in Hooper in a grocery store, and for the Hooper Care Center, and for the Peterson's Style Shop. And she had done volunteer work at the Care Center.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper and it LWML in which she had held various offices, and she had served on the Altar committee, and with the Dorcas Workers.

2 Sons - Gary and wife Marlene Moeller of Arlington, MN
Wayne and wife Kay Moeller of Bennington
Daughter-in-law - Jan Moeller of Carmel, CA.

Sister-in-law - Carmen Sasse of Diablo, CA.
Preceding Wilma in death were her husband Eugene in 1970, her parents, a son Rodney, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
The funeral service will be 10:30 Thursday (April 3) in St. John's Lutheran Church in Hooper with the Rev. Carl Lehmann officiating. The committal will follow in St. John's Cemetery, rural Hooper. Memorials are suggested to her church.
Visitation at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel will be on Wednesday (Apr. 2) from 3pm to 8pm, with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm.
