Valiera was born November 24, 1924 in rural Hooper to George and Marie 'Fischer' Hoegemeyer. She was baptized on December 7, 1924 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hooper. Valiera was raised in the rural Hooper area and was confirmed on July 24, 1938 at St. John Lutheran Church in Hooper. She attended District 16 school, rural Hooper. The family moved into Scribner and Valiera graduated from Scribner High School in 1942. Valiera worked for Dr. Stehl in Scribner.

Valiera married to Dennis G. Stockamp on May 24, 1953 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner.
They were lifetime residents of the Scribner area, farming until moving into Scribner. After their children were grown, Valiera began working at the Good Samaritan Center until 1991. Recently she had been a resident of the Elkhorn Valley Villa.

Valiera was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner where she was active in Choir, Ladies Aid and the Lutheran Layman League and had been the secretary there. She loved to sew and make quilts for her family.

Grandchildren - Suzanne, Katie and husband Mike Mullally, and Timothy Stockamp, Cindy, Russel and wife Dawn, and Vicki Stockamp, Mark, Cara, Taylor, and Brant Stockamp, Leah and husband Stuart Miller, Kelly, Nora and Jamie Spath, Craig, Kyle, Mallory, Kaylee and Nicole Boyle.
Great Grandchildren - Cadynce & Callie Stockamp, Zachary & Natalee Mullally
Sister - Elveretta Sutterfield of Loveland, Colorado

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Hoegemeyer, son Dale Stockamp and grandson Jeffery Stockamp.

The funeral will be 10:30am Monday September 15 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Bruce Schut will officiate. Burial will follow in the Scribner Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or the Scribner Rescue Squad. Visitation will be at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel on Sunday from 3pm to 8pm with family receiving friends from 3pm to 5pm. Visitation will continue one hour before service at the church.
