Lucian R. Fuhrmeister

Lucian was born in Peabody, Kansas on August 22, 1912 to George and Elizabeth (Aussaker) Fuhrmeister. He came to Fremont with his family when he was 8 years of age. He graduated from Fremont High School, then graduated from Midland Lutheran College in 1937. He received his master's degree from Omaha University (now the University of Nebraska at Omaha) in 1951. He did his doctoral work at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. During his years at Midland, he was a member of the football team.
He taught and coached in many schools. He taught in South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois. In Nebraska he was a high school principal, and was superintendent in Ralston and Uehling. Among other Nebraska schools that he was associated with were schools in Craig, Oakland, Herman, Humphrey, Weston, and Valley. Lucian became Dodge County Superintendent of Schools in 1979.
In July of 1936, Lucian was married to Ranatta Rasmussen.
