Marcie was born in Schuyler, Nebraska on March 21, 1945 to Emil E. and Tillie (Severyn) Jindra. After graduating from Schuyler High School in 1945, she attended Midland College in Fremont and moved to Fremont in 1946.
On December 7, 1948, Marcie married Gordon Marshall. They adopted a son, Michael, in March of 1959. Gordon preceded Marcie in death on March 18, 1980, and Michael died on November 2, 2000.
Marcie was active in Girl Scouts in Fremont for many years as both a Girl Scout Leader and Cookie Chairman. She was also the business manager at Camp Juliette. Together, with a good friend Shirley Kuss, they operated the Plain and Fancy Dress Shop in Fremont.
After working as a bookkeeper at several area businesses, including Modern Electric, Petrow's Café, and Baldwin-Peterson, Marcie went to work for Clyde Morton in 1977 as a bookkeeper at the Lariat Club. This led to the start of Confidential Bookkeeping, which would be Marcie's life-long career.
On November 5, 1999, Marcie married Dwayne Pawley. They continued to operate the business together until his death in May of 2005. Marcie then retired.
She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Eagles Club, and the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by Dwayne's children:

The funeral service will be 10 AM Wednesday (Aug. 26th) in the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel with the Rev. Scott Jensen officiating. The committal will follow in Ridge Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society and the Girl Scouts.
Visitation at the Ludvigsen Mortuary will be today (Tuesday-Aug. 25th) from 3 to 8 PM, and Wednesday morning for an hour before the service.
