Dorothy was born January 19, 1916 in Omaha to Emil and Frances 'Smith' Holub. The family moved to Scribner in 1923. Dorothy spent the next 86 years in Scribner. She graduated from high school in 1934 and married Melvin Wolsleger at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on September 3, 1938. After their marriage the couple continued to live in Scribner. Dorothy co-owned Shorts Steakhouse with her husband. She then worked for the Good Samaritan Center for about 10 years before retiring in 1988. Dorothy moved to the Village Manor in Lincoln in December of 2008 to be closer to her family.

Dorothy enjoyed bowling, golfing and people in general. She belonged to numerous card clubs, was a member of the St. Catherine's Guild and St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She had also belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Scribner Extension Club.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Melvin in 1978, a son Thomas in 1962 and 3 sisters.

The funeral mass will be Saturday 10:00am at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. The Rev. Vitalis Anyanike will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Ridgeley Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the St. Elizabeth Hospital Hospice in Lincoln and St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Scribner. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 7pm at St. Lawrence. A rosary/wake service will be held at 7pm also at the church. Visitation will continue 1 hour before the service at the church.
