Mark Alan "Robey" Robeson, 57, of Fremont died Thursday, October 22, 2009 at his home after a strong battle with cancer. He was born August 26, 1952 in Fremont to Fay Robeson and Pasty Robeson Nelson. He grew up in Fremont and graduated from Fremont High in 1970 and attended Wayne State College on a baseball scholarship and later transferred to UNL. For 20 years he proudly worked as a Lieutenant at Dodge County Corrections most recently he was a security guard at Elk Ridge Village in Elkhorn. He was married to Barbara Obermiller in 1976 who he proudly raised two children with. He was a member of First Lutheran Church in Fremont. He was very family oriented and had a love for almost every sport he especially liked the St. Louis Cardinals, the Huskers, and the New York Rangers. If wasn't watching sports he was playing golf. He will be remembered for his kindness, positive attitude, and loyalty to his family and dear friends.

Mark was preceded in death by his father Fay and step-father Lee Nelson.
The memorial service will be on Monday October 26, 10:30am at First Lutheran Church. The Rev. Norman Freund will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials are suggested to Eric and Friends (www.ericandfriends.com - A family charity in honor of his son-in-law's brother who passed away), and the Fremont Athletic Booster Club. The family will receive friends from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont.
