Willard D. Heyne

Willard was born September 16, 1918 in the family farm home near Uehling to Bill and Tillie 'Busselman' Heyne. He graduated from Uehling High School in 1936. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on September 3, 1941, and was discharged on December 11, 1944. He worked on the family farm outside of Uehling until the last months of his life. On February 22, 1949, he married Ruth Witt of Scribner. From 1932 to 1999, he operated the Hillside Dairy in Uehling. In 1959, he began Hillside Dehy, Inc. in Uehling. In 1983 he was a co-founder of the American National Bank in Fremont.

The funeral will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 16 at First Lutheran Church in Fremont (3200 E. Military). The Rev. Charlie Axness will officiate. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Visitation will be 1 hour before the service at the church. Flag presentation by the Uehling American Legion Post 196 will be done at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Uehling Auditorium and Park Memorial Fund. There will be a private family committal.
