Audrey A. Buhrman, 99, of Scribner
passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, at St. Francis Memorial Hospital at West Point.
Audrey was born on September 16, 1926, South of Scribner on her family's farm to Herbert and Martha (Meyer) Koglin. Audrey graduated from Scribner High School in 1945. Audrey married Harold Buhrman on March 5, 1947. They raised seven children together and she worked alongside Harold on the family farm.
Audrey worked at the Scribner Theater as a teenager growing up where she met Harold and, later at the Good Samaritan Society for 18 ½ years until retirement.
She was an active member of the United Evangelical Lutheran Church and a member of the Alter Guild, Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Extension Club and Ladies' Aid.
She was the definition of the family matriarch showing strength, resilience, and devotion. As a farmer's wife she helped build a life rooted in dedication, perseverance and love. She was the steady leader and the glue that held her family together for generations. She treasured simple joys in life - weekly card games with her close circle of friends, sharing stories, and finding reasons to laugh. She had a way of filling a room with her presence, whether through her storytelling, her wit, or unmistakable honesty.
She is survived by: five daughters, Barbara (and husband, Alan) Fanning of Fremont, Cindy Buhrman of Papillion, Connie Davis of Oakland, Michelle (and husband, Mike) Stieren of Scribner and Marsha Cinelli of Las Vegas, NV; Grandchildren, Heather Davis, Amanda Davis, Shane (and wife, Chassity) Davis, Brandi (and husband, Jack) O'Malley, Cody (and wife, Nicole) Davis, Howie Lemon, Jessie (and husband, Chris) Lemon, Zeb Davis, Myriah (and husband, Neil) Curtis, Zach Davis, Tadessa Davis, Dylan Stieren, Jaydn Stieren, and Natasha Hervey; Great-grandchildren, Kevin Davis, Chase Davis, Deagon Davis, Savvy Davis, Jack O'Malley, Connor O'Malley, Brecken O'Malley, Adalynn Davis, Carter Davis, Cash Davis, Mark Davis, Kiah Davis, Ellery Dillon, Leif Dillon, Crew Curtis, Isabelle Davis, Aaliyah Davis, Aria Pycha, Archer Pycha, Aubrey Pycha, Amelia Pycha, Drake Lemon, Rowen Lemon, Kennedy Lemon, Frey Lemon, Jesse Hervey, Jamyson Hervey, Nancy McNutt, Gladys McNutt; Great great grandchildren, Quinn Davis and Davina Davis; two sisters Dianne (and husband, Dan) Ryan, and Evelyn (and husband, Dale) Kinney and sister-in-law Marlene Koglin.
Audrey was preceded in death by her husband Harold; her son, Steven Buhrman; daughter, Linda Davis; sons-in-law, Craig Davis and Mark Davis; grandson, Jeremiah Davis; granddaughter, Freya Lemon; her parents, Herbert and Martha Koglin; brothers, Herbert Koglin, Marvin Koglin, Larry Koglin; sister, Alyce Vitek; and, sister-in-law, Lois Koglin.
Visitation with the family will be Thursday, May 14, 2026 at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel from 5pm to 7pm. The funeral will be Friday, 10:30am at United Lutheran Church in Scribner. Memorials are suggested to the Scribner Rescue Squad or United Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Scribner Cemetery.
