Faye E. Wedergren, age 87, of Fremont
Died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Providence Place in Fremont.
Faye was born ''Faye Ellen Meyer'' on August 15th, 1935 in Wisner, Nebraska. Faye was the middle child of three to parents Arthur and Lucy 'Juhl' Meyer. After graduating Wisner High School in 1953 Faye worked in Omaha at Mutual of Omaha for several years. After meeting and marrying Arlen Wedergren in 1961 the couple moved to California in 1962. While in California, son Kevin was born in 1967. In 1970 Faye and her family returned to Nebraska to reside in Arlen's hometown of Uehling. Arlen and Faye made Uehling their home until 2006 when they moved to Omaha and later to Fremont.
Faye was an active member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary. Faye and her family were also active members of the Uehling Congregational Church. While in Uehling Faye was the school lunch manager at the Uehling Public School. In her time of over 24 years at the school, she gained a reputation of providing high quality lunches to all Uehling students that passed through. Faye very much enjoyed reading and playing games. One of her favorite games played often was scrabble with her mother and sister Nina. She was also very involved with, and fond of her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She will be missed by many who knew her.

Son - Kevin Wedergren of Fremont
4 grandchildren - Neto Wedergren of Corpus Christi, TX; Natasha Faye Wedergren of Austin, TX.; Jon Wedergren of Omaha and Seaman Gabriel Wedergren of Bangor, WA.
3 great grandchildren - Marcelo, Christiano and Juliana Wedergren of Corpus Christi, TX.
Brother - John (Georgianna) Meyer of Lincoln.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Lucy Meyer and sister Nina Jennings of Lincoln.
A memorial service will be 10:30am, Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at the Fremont First United Methodist Church. Burial will be at a later date in the Omaha National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.
