Sherry L. Rise Wolter age 76, of Fremont Died Wednesday June 13, 2018 at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont
Sherry was born April 8, 1942 in Fremont to Otto and Lumilla 'Goelz' Rise. She was raised in Fremont, graduated high school from Fremont Senior High and lived most of her life in Fremont. After high school, Sherry entered the United States Army and served from 1960 to 1961. After her active military, she returned to Fremont, worked for Western Electric in Omaha, and served as a quartermaster while in the Reserve and later as a civilian for the 1012th Quartermaster Supply U.S. Army Reserve center (809th Quartermaster Battalion) in Fremont, then worked part time at Walmart.
Sherry had been a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont until moving to Scribner for a short time. While in Scribner, Sherry joined St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Sherry was a life member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Sherry married Kenneth Wolter on April 23, 1971 in Fremont. Kenneth died February 28, 1988.

Sherry was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother-in-law.
The funeral will be 9:30 Saturday, June 16, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Bruce Schut will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Cemetery with Military Honors by the Fremont Honor Guard. Closed Casket Visitation will be one hour before the service at the Church. Memorials are suggested to the new Fremont Veterans Memorial Park.
