Robert Brokenicky

Robert L. Brokenicky, 81, of Fremont; died Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Nebraska Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center in Omaha.
He was born on September 18, 1934 in Omaha, but lived his early childhood years in Dodge. He moved with his family to Fremont where he received his education, graduating from Fremont High School in 1952.
He joined the United States Navy in October of 1952, serving during the years of the Korean War, until September of 1955. Then he attended Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois for 2 years where at that time the University offered a watchmaking course. He set up his own shop first in David City, then in Schuyler, then rented space from his father in Fremont.
He was a member of the VFW Post 854 in Fremont.
His survivors include his wife Jeanette, and her daughter Teresa Lee, his brother Leon and wife Marie Brokenicky of Fremont, nieces and nephews, Alan and wife Rachel Brokenicky of Tulsa, OK, Eric and wife Brenda Brokenicky of Fremont, Pamela and husband Jim Sheets of Firth, Daniel and wife Heidi Brokenicky of Waverly.
A memorial service will be 3 PM Saturday (Oct. 24th) at the Fremont Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (1160 N. Garden City Rd) with Bishop Seth Chappell. A reception will follow in the church.
