Gayle Jessen

Fremont, NE

Kae was an amazing woman. I visited with her at her house shortly before the move to Lincoln. I was blessed to know her since she and my sister met in the 7th grade. Kae impacted the community in many ways. When we would run into each other at the grocery store, we had wonderful conversations about our kids. God is good...all the time, but sometimes it's hard to see that when you're in the middle of the storm. It's only when the storm passes, or we enter His kingdom will we fully understand his plan. As a mere human, I can't see the reason he called Kae home at this point in her life. The entire family is in my prayers--Pat, Jorday, Marge, Kim & Ragena, Ken & Karen, and more. Lean on Him in times of trouble and let Him put his loving arms around you. I've found it helpful to put a small blanket or shawl around my shoulders and sit and cry, yell, scream, holler and sometimes sleep while imagining that shawl/blanket as His loving arms. Sometimes I go outside and pull weeds imagining all my hurts as the weeds, leaving a lovely result of a neat and tidy flower bed. "Weed therapy"--love it! May the Peace that passes all understanding be with you in the near future. My love to all of you. Gayle Jessen

Marge, Jordan, Pat and family, I can only say that Kae was a wonderful, caring, classy & thoughful worman. It was an honor and a pleasure to know her. I remember shortly before I turned 40, Kae came to Lincoln and did a Jazzerice class and had lunch with me. We could visit about anything. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you. May God grant you comfort in this difficult time. Charm

Dear Pat, Jordan, Marge, and family. I know these must be difficult days. I wish you strength in the days to follow. I am so glad to have visited with you at Final Fours and regionals over the years. As a friend and teammate of Kae's since seventh grade at Logan View, I knew her to be passionate and selfless. She infused energy into every activity. Her time here was too short. May you find peace and comfort in the memories you created. Love, Sue

VAlley, Ne

Pat and Jordan, Our sympathy to you both. I had the opportunity to get to know Kae when I found out she had breast cancer a couple of years ago. We figured out that we both had breast cancer about the same time you girls were playing volleyball against each other (Our Aubree for Valley and you playing for Logan View). Kae's came back though. I sent her my book I wrote about my cancer journey and she sent me back the nicest thankyou and letter. I will treasure that forever. You now have an "angel in heaven" and she will watch over you always! Denny and JuLee Kallenbach (Valley)
