Norma R. Jones, 95, of Fremont
died Thursday. October 4, 2018

Norma was born to Philip and Olive (Genereux) Rupprecht on October 15, 1922. She was born in Campbell, Nebraska where she grew up and graduated from high school. Then she attended the University of Nebraska.

On January 16, 1944 she was married in Raleigh, North Carolina to Orville F. Jones. They lived in several different places, both in and out of the states, as her husband worked for the US Department of Agriculture. She often spoke of the 5 years she and Orville lived in Nigeria. After retirement, the couple lived in Fremont while her husband farmed with his son-in-law in Burt County.

Norma and her husband were both avid bridge players. She was also a gardener, and she was kept active by her grandchildren.

She is survived by: daughter- Sheri and husband David Ruwe of Hooper
son Jerry and wife Patti Jones of Cheyenne, Wyo.
grandchildren Phil (LuAnn) Jones of Watertown, Wisc.
and their daughter Kelsey
Geoff Jones of Cheyenne, Wyo.
Cathy (Ryan) Howell of Riverton, Utah
and their children Callie and Haddon
Kim (Jim) Deprez of Lincoln and their children Lindsey and Megan
Curt (Megan) Ruwe of Lincoln
and their children David and Liza
Joe (Elia) Ruwe of Turlock, Calif.
and their children Olivia and Roman

The funeral service will be 10 AM Monday (Oct. 8, 2018) at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel, Fremont. The committal will be in the Calvary Lutheran Cemetery at Swede Home, Nebraska. Visitation is 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the mortuary. A memorial will be established.
