Arlette G Engelhardt, 90 years young, of Fremont went to join her husband Howard in heaven, Saturday January 20, 2018.

Arlette was born October 22, 1927 to Walter and Elizabeth Erickson (Voigt) by
Oakland, NE. After moving to another farm by West Point, NE, Arlette graduated from West Point
High School in 1945. She also attended her 70 year high school reunion in 2015.

Arlette leaves behind her only sibling, Roberta Wilde of Apache Junction, AZ and her only child, Fay Ann Nelson and her husband Tom of Danbury, CT., along with nieces and nephews: Debbie, Brian and Brad Engelhardt, Teresa Munderloh, Lance and Dennis Nolting, Valerie and Ralph Wilde.

Arlette worked for the Superintendent of West Point Schools. In 2014 she was entered into the Poll Worker Hall of Fame. Besides quilting and Saturday night dancing with her husband, she really enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and traveling with Howard. Dragonflies, penguins and sea turtles were her passion and she could be found enjoying pie on Wednesdays at Village Inn.

To the world, Arlette was a mother, but to your daughter, Arlette was the world.

The funeral service will be 10am Saturday, January 27 at the Ludvigsen Mortuary Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bancroft Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fremont.
