Died Friday July 14, 2017 at the Hooper Care Center

Nell was born July 28, 1929 in Cuming County, Nebraska to Bernard and Elizabeth (Ulrich) Vogel. She grew up near Olean, NE. and attended Sacred Heart Academy at Olean from 1st to 8th grade. Upon 8th grade graduation she worked for various neighbors and relatives until her marriage to Henry B. Peitzmeier on May 15, 1952 in Olean. The couple lived in Dodge, Webster, and moved to Hooper in 1952.

Nell was employed by the City of Hooper, Hooper Care Center, Milbrandts Grocery and Logan View Jr-Sr. High Schools in the school kitchen from 1979 to 1997.

Nell was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hooper, St. Rose Guild and taught CCD for many years. She also babysat younger children for parents teaching CCD. She served as Chairman several times for the St. Rose Turkey Dinner. Henry and Nell could be found doing various projects at the St. Rose church and rectory for which they were honored in 2008 for their outstanding service to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Nell was active in the Hooper Community by serving on the steering committee of Trail Days (community fundraiser for the Hooper Swimming Pool) serving as head of the community food stand. She was a Girl Scout Leader, volunteer at the Hooper Care Center, active member of the Hooper Sr. Center and served on the Hooper Election Board.

Nell liked to bake, sew, garden and take care of her grandchildren.

Brother Herbert and wife Delores Vogel of Schuyler
Sister Rose Marie and husband Joe Franzluebbers of West Point
11 grandchildren Cynthia (Steve) Slykhuis, Kelly (Larry) Mills, Melinda (David) Purvis, Laura (Sean) Stoner,
Jill VonSeggern, Amanda (Josh) Wilson, Shyann Stromquist, Heath Stromquist, Derek Kai,
Amber Kai and Jakob Kai.
9 great grandchildren Brooke, Justin and Jenna Mills, Winston and Oliver Slykhuis,
Christopher and Jackson Purvis, Lydia Stoner and Kenzington Wilson.

Raineldis was preceded in death by her parents, husband Henry B. Peitzmeier, brothers Edwin (Wilma) Vogel and Edward (Eleanor) Vogel, sisters Helen (Paul) Wieneke, Gertrude (Lloyd) Wilde, Adeline (Vincent) Wieneke and Alvina (Robert) Kalisek.

Funeral Mass will be 10am Monday, July 17, 2017 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Hooper. Rev. Damien Wee will officiate. Burial will follow in the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday from 2pm to 5pm at Ludvigsen's Hooper Funeral Chapel. Memorials are suggested to St. Rose of Lima and Hooper Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
