Marjorie Joan Giblin Legband, age 75, of Snyder, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Marjorie was born in Houston, Texas on March 16, 1942 to Murphy and Rita Giblin and baptized April 1st. At the time of her birth, her father was away in the Army. She was raised with her two sisters in Houston.

Marjorie attended Our Savior Lutheran School for grade school and was confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church. She participated in Walther League youth group and graduated from John H. Reagan High School.

Marjorie attended Concordia Milwaukee Lay Training program before serving Bellevue and then Fremont in the lay ministry. While at Fremont she met Allan Legband and they married on September 17, 1978. Allan and Marjorie farmed and spent the majority of her married life on the farm south of Snyder, NE. Her heart to serve didn't end after coming home from working in the church to be a full time wife and mother. She continued by volunteering at St. Paul Lutheran School where her children all attended, was a leader at Bible Study Fellowship in Fremont and visited shut-ins once her children were grown.

Her husband Allan survives Marjorie along with her three children Joshua and wife Sarah Legband and their two children Caleb and Elizabeth; Rebecca and husband Sean Hansen and their five children James, Sophia, Audrey, Stephen, and William; Sarah and husband Craig Huxoll. She is also survived by two sisters, Roberta Blasdell and Pam Bauerkemper and their families; along with her mother Rita Giblin whom just celebrated her 100th year of life!; Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Willis (Delene) Legband, Wilbur (Aina) Legband, Darrell (Loretta) Legband, Marilyn Hansen and Sandy Legband.

Her battle with cancer ended for Marjorie on May 13, 2017 as she joined her Savior in heaven.

The funeral will be Friday, 10:30am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Point. Lunch will follow the service with burial to follow in Memorial Cemetery in Fremont. Visitation with the family present will be Thursday at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel from 4pm to 7pm and will continue for an hour before the service at church in West Point on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Orphan Grain Train.
