Dona was born November 9, 1935 in Randolph, NE. to Walter and Margaret 'Gunzenhauser' Wecker. She was raised in rural Wayne County. She married Marlin Landanger and due to his work lived in several different communities in northeast Nebraska. While moving around with her family Dona worked many different jobs during her career most of them involving care giving in some way. Dona and Marlin were later divorced then she married Alfred 'Fritz' Brenneis and they later divorced. Dona had been a resident of the Elkhorn Valley Villa and was recently a resident at the Scribner Good Samaritan Center.

Dona was preceded in death by her parents, ex-husband, brother Lane and grandson Jayson.

The family will receive friends at United Lutheran Church in Scribner on Wednesday from 9am until 11am. A memorial service will begin at 11am with the Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre officiating. Memorials may be direct to the family.

    I feel very Blessed to have had Dona for a Mother In Law. She was a very caring person with a loving heart. There were many times when she worried, guided and prayed for our family. She will be greatly missed and always remembered.
