of Scribner
Died Wednesday December 24, 2014
at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point.

Joyce was born June 27, 1930 on a farm west of Scribner. She grew up west of Scribner and attended 'Mud Creek' school before graduated from Scribner High School in 1948. After high school, Joyce attended Wayne State College and received her teaching certificate. She taught for 3 years. Joyce married Marvin 'Doc' Moeller on June 3, 1952. The couple farmed east of Scribner until Doc passed away in 1977. Joyce moved into Scribner and began working for the Scribner Schools, mostly in the cafeteria, but also doing other jobs through out the school for about 23 years.

Joyce was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner and was involved in the Ladies Aid and Altar Guild.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Marvin 'Doc' Moeller in 1977 and a son-in-law Mike Hegy.

The funeral will be 10:30am Saturday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Bruce Schut will officiate. Burial will be in Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm at Ludvigsen's Scribner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to the church or Scribner Rescue Squad.
